Building Operations
That Last

My career has been defined by one consistent challenge: walking into organizations that have outgrown their infrastructure and building the systems, teams, and rhythms that let them operate at the next level. That work has taken shape across founding a company, leading operations at a private club, and serving as Chief of Staff at a nonprofit, each environment different, but the core problem the same.

At ACE Global Promotions, I built every operational system from scratch and ran them for 15 years. At Katie's Way, I stepped into a Chief of Staff role with no existing infrastructure and built an operating cadence, a KPI dashboard, and a governance framework that gave leadership the visibility they needed to make real decisions.

What I bring to every role is a combination of strategic clarity and hands-on execution. I am comfortable in the boardroom and on the floor. I know how to read a P&L, build a dashboard, negotiate with vendors, develop a team, and design the operating rhythm that keeps everyone aligned and accountable. What makes that work is relationships. I get things done by building genuine trust across teams and functions, bringing people together around a shared goal, and creating the kind of alignment where people move in the same direction because they believe in where they are going, not just because they were told to.

I am based in Kansas City and open to remote, hybrid, and in-person roles. I am particularly drawn to organizations at an inflection point: fast-growing companies that need operational infrastructure, nonprofits that need to scale their impact, and established businesses that need a sharper operating model.

The Challenge

A behavioral health nonprofit serving Kansas City families had no formal operational infrastructure. Leadership decisions were reactive, accountability was inconsistent, and the board had limited visibility into organizational performance.

The Approach

Designed and implemented a full operating cadence from scratch: weekly leadership updates, structured meeting rhythms, pre-read disciplines, and action tracking. Built an enterprise-wide KPI dashboard using Excel-based reporting tools that translated raw operational data into board-ready narratives.

The Result

Improved executive visibility into organizational performance by 40%. Delivered board decks and financial briefings that enabled data-informed decisions at the governance level. Led a cross-functional restructure that reduced overhead by 18% while fully preserving service delivery quality.

Key Result:40% visibility improvement, 18% overhead reduction
